Lawrie is recognized throughout North America as a high calibre expert in the field. His work has been published in national magazines, and he has been actively serving as a top level show judge, including:

• 30 years as a car show judge (Corvette shows, 5-6-7 Club, V-8 Less Club)
• 20 years as judge of Powerama Motoring Expo (18 of those as lead judge)
• judge at US Mopar Nationals
